Jack has been missing since wednesday night after being out on moorland chasing bunnies, firstly a quick description

Jack is a four year old 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington terrier, but looks like a whippet - pictures below

He stands 22" at the shoulder, weighs 15.2 kg, black, with a white star on his chest and a few white toes, he has a distinctive scar on his right hind leg, he was wearing a black nylon collar, with no name tag, the tag sadly is on his leather collar in the house. He has lots of white fur around his mouth and chin.

He is very wary of strangers normally, and is a complete mummies boy, and knows his way home from where we were so im not sure what happened to him to prevent him from coming home.

I have posted flyers everywhere and have had a few possible sitings over the weekend, but the area is vast and havent managed to be in the right place at the right time yet, I have contacted the vets, dog warden, rescue centre, police, pet shop, everyone local, and have loads of people out looking for him throughout the day.

We live in Crieff, perthshire, and the walk was at the Knock - a vast area of woodland and moorland, with activity centre, holiday chalets and a hotel.

Any advice or sightings please get in contact

My phone numbers are - 01764 654201 or 07717103637

Thank You

He is my baby boy and my soulmate :(

Jill. I expect that you are already doing this but if you aren't take Buffy out everyday to the last place that you saw Jack so that she pee's etc in the area. You are hoping to keep her scent fresh in case he comes there. Also in the general area. He'll remember Buffy's smell so you want it around that area.

I know lurcher folk who say that if a dog runs off hunting the best thing to do is stay where you last saw the dog and it'll find you.

If he's defo been sighted in another area or other area's then take her there as well.

Other than that I can't think of anything at the moment. I hope that you don't mind but I'll check on another board that I'm on if you haven't posted on that one I'll post Jack's description but not your phone number on it.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. Living in a rural area in which is heavily wooded and not easily accessable what's happened to you hits hard home with me.

Thank you all for your kind words, Its like a living nightmare, and I wish I could wake up, Jack and I have such a close bond I feel lost without him.

Beejay, I have repeatedly gone to the last place I saw him, and where the sightings have been, with Buffy, she is really tired and missing Jack, poor lamb.

Still nothing to report this morning.

I am so very sorry. Will be thinking of you and praying you find Jack today.

Hope you get Jack back very soon, fingers crossed for you.

Julie

Yep, everythings crossed here too. So, so sorry- would it be possible he has been found and taken to a local pound? Is he microchipped?

I really hope you will find him today :luck: :luck: :huggles:

>Beejay, I have repeatedly gone to the last place I saw him, and where the sightings have been, with Buffy, she is really tired and missing Jack, poor lamb.

I thought that you would have as you have everything else covered.

I'll contact LSUK so that is on their books and also post to the dog warden network.

Hoping that you find Jack today. :huggles:

Jill is he entire?
No he's been neutered, and in terms of running off after the girls, he's only ever shown interest in Buffy, but she was waving herself in his face constantly !

Just had a call saying someone thought they might have found him, but when I got to their house it was a mongrel called Taz - He runs away all the time, so Ive taken him back to his house and am now wondering whether the other sightings were for Taz, Ive taken the rest of the day off work, just hope the phone rings

I was hoping this was good news. Still thinking of you. :luck:

Keep you chin up Jill. Tomorrow is a new day with maybe good new's. Thinking of you's all.

Glad Buffy is now eating. :luck: :luck:
