Wow..I'm sure the majority would have given up after that long

do they know much about where he's been over the past 12 mos? and how did the person who returned him find out where he belonged?

fantastic news, she must be overjoyed, wonder what he's been up to !

he was sold on and the person that bought him took him to the vets

and the micro chip flagged up that he had been stolen and was traced back to tanya

no info on where he has been at all

Fantastic news :D

Just shows what a good idea microchipping is

How wonderful to be reunited after so long

That's a wonderful story, she must be over the moon to have her boy back :D

I really, really don't understand why so many people still don't get their dogs chipped. For the sake of about £10 it's the only chance you have of ever getting your dog back if it's stolen and then sold or dumped. Thank goodness it worked in this case!

I quite agree. I feel it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. They should also wear a name tag too as that is a legal requirement.

I received an email from a man on tuesday saying that he had bought a whippet and when he took it to the vets for a check up he asked that it was scanned for a chip. It came up that it was Danny and he had been stolen. He asked for me to confirm that he had been stolen. I immediately spoke to Tanya and she confirmed that she had spoken to the man on the phone. I emailed him back saying yes Danny had been stolen last march.

I later had a phone call from Tanya to say Danny was to be returned to her the next day. I also spoke to the man on the phone and he told me that there was no way he would keep Danny knowing that he had been stolen and that there was no doubt in his mind that Danny was to be returned to her.

Tanya sent me a photo and a text the next day to say he was now back with her.It wasn't until later that night that I realised that it was exactly 3 years to the day that Danny had first arrived at Tanya's home.

Danny was advertised on preloved for sale and although both Tanya and myself checked the ads regulary some of the deatils for Danny were not correct and there was no photo. If a photo had been there it would have been spotted.

We have no idea were Danny has been during the past year whether he has been with the advertiser for the whole time or whether he has been passed around we will only ever know if Danny learns to talk. From what Tanya has told me he wasn't in to bad a condition weight wise but his coat is scabby and horrible which I'm sure she'll get back to how it should be in no time at all.

so pleased to hear danny has been found safe and well

it just like when we got roma back after 10 months in very good condition roma wasent microchipped but the person who said they found knew who to get in contact with ive alwaysed wondered how the person knew how to contact us

grateful and thankful are the words id use , but all i can say to anyone out there , is NEVER EVER GIVE UP HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is home and thats all that counts

he has a few aggression issues but im sure this will settle over time

thank you everyone for your support over this awful time , now pray again for lulu xx

Awwww so glad you've got your lad back. You'll have him back to his old self before too long.

i do like a happy ending

I spent a few days down at Tanya's last week and saw Danny again. He needs a little weight on and has a bald patch on his back but is getting back to normal. I took his half brother and sister with me and although Danny did show a bit of aggression towards his brother it was understandable as a strange male was in his house. I did manage to walk them both together at a lurcher show with no problems so I don't think Danny's problem is anything serious and can be worked with.

We are all just glad he has been found safe and well and as Tanya says it shows you should never give up hope.

 How cool is that welcome home Danny Tanya lots of huggs and kisses and he will be fine :luck:

LOTS OF LOVE THE BLUE GANG XXXXXXXXXXXX
