Took Mikkee to local ringcraft class where they had a match on and she not only won Best Puppy but also went Best In Match !!

Judge Jill Anthony (JILONY)( Gives C C `s in Pointers but has had Whippets in past )

What exactly is a Match at ringcraft? It is just like a fun show where any dog identity can judge, and the dogs are really just practising what they've learned in the ringcraft classes? Or is it like our Open shows where champ points are not available and the judges are trainees - but otherwise run in exactly the same format as a champ show?

Yes Lana its all part of the training of both dogs, handlers and usually the judge........... but all in the name of fun :D
 
A Match is just that ,

If you have ,say , 8 puppies you put them in pairs and the winner of each pair competes against the winner of the next pair until yo have 1 winner :blink:

The same goes with the adults too .

No dogs who have won a C C or R C C can compete :- "

I know of some peps who go to match nights almost every night !! :eek:

I just go to the ringcraft one with my pups as its exactly 1 mile away ( I dont care how far I have to travel do I !! :cheers:

Most canines society`s and ringcrafts clubs have them once a month . at the end of the year all winners compete for DOG of the Year .

Fleur won 2002 Dog Of the Year . Mayzee and Mollee have won it in the past too. :))

Its good practise and can be quite handy at getting a judges opinion with out spending a fortune ! :thumbsup:

PS I won an easter egg on the raffle too ( thats 2 eggs Ive won in 3 days !!)

She was 8 months old last Sunday :wub: Dosnt seem 2 mins since she was born :sweating:

I thought she was a little older than Alfie, but she is younger (w00t) Such success at such a young age, has it all gone to her head?! lol :lol:

I keep looking at that photo of her - I think she looks really special :wub:
 
Well done the both of you, I cannot believe she is 8 months, it only seems like yesterday you had her. Id have to drug my lot to get that picture :p
