Hi Beejay, all I have heard, is that he's a hound specialist and used to own racing greyhounds, but there again he's down to judge Rough Collies at a local open show round here this month.........Must be branching out LOL..........I also know he has given tickets in greyhounds for a while now.
The next speaker was Keith Thornton of Karnak Afghan Hounds. Keith explained that he started in dogs with Collies and that his first sight of Afghans was at Leeds Championship Show in 1962 where in walked Horningsea Khanabad Suvaraj, described by Keith as 'a stunner, big, strong, graceful and top dog all breeds that year'. Keith bought his first Afghan Khalif Kushura in 1962 and won two Reserve CC's with him.
In whippets he bred

As far as his judging goes 'I cannot comment' not having shown under him.
Keith is one of the up and coming 'All Rounders' who is being progressed rapidly by the KC, gives tickets in quite a few breeds now. He likes movement but will probably go 'facey' for the CCs. Last judged Whippets (to my certain knowledge) at Whippet Club of Wales in Dec 2000.
I may be wrong but keith thornton works or owns wafcol, I've met him a few times...and he used to appear on "dog night live" on one of the cable channels, he even said hiya to me on telly(fame again ), I know he has afghans, and I think he jointly owns some greyhounds........really nice bloke
