I don't look on here any longer as the majority of dogs mentioned needing homes are greyhounds and not whippets.

I have always loved greyhounds, but can no longer read about them.

My whippet, who was on lead by my side, was killed by 4 greyhounds who had neither muzzles nor collars on and I simply cannot come to terms with what happened, nor forget the awful death that was visited on my beloved and cherished dog. I tried with all my might, but It was an impossible task to fight off 4 greyhounds and as you can imagine, the nightmares continue, day and night.

My reason for posting... is that a friend sent me the following sad little person who needs a home. I cannot entertain any thoughts of having her, as I am now in total depression and it is solely due to the presence of my remaining whippet who is holding things together, that I am here today .

http://manytears.co.uk/ (below is what they say about her) Hope someone can help her.

06-01-11 Anna Seed is a super star. She is a 4yr old female whippet who is looking for a new home because very sadly her family have had to emigrate. She has been a much loved girly who loves a cuddle. She walks well on the lead and gets on well with other dogs, she really is one special lady and really deserves a lovely home to call her own.

I cannot work out how to include the picture on here...... she is about quarter way down the list if you scroll on the Many Tears dogs needing homes page.

I'm so sorry to hear about your awful experience, I can't begin to imagine what you must have been through :huggles:

This is the whippet girl who's with Many Tears, She sounds lovely. She's fostered near Swindon:

There is also a male whippet, I imagine from the same home, who is fostered in Mid Glamorgan:

06-01-11 Addy Das is a stunning male whippet. This 5 yr old boy has sadly come to rescue due to his owners emigrating. He is a lovely boy who has been much loved, lived indoors and gets on well with other dogs. Addy walks well on the lead and all in all is one very special man who will make someone an amazing companion.
