Hi everyone sorry to trouble you all,Just got a few concerns with my 10 year old Male Labrador. For just over a week, he's been acting strange. For example i know its warm, but he's been panting and being restlessness, being dead clingy, following us all over, being very unsettled in general.Coming onto the furniture and going upstairs, which he never does.Ive spoke to the vets on friday of last week, they don't seem to have any concerns.but were concerned about.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

kind regards
Paul

Can you think of anything that has changed? Different people or animals having come into or left his house? Have you added any electrical equipment/lighting/burglar or smoke alarms that might make sounds that he can hear and you can't? Even washing a change of washing powder...

Have you felt him all over, along his neck and back, down his legs, in case there's any spots that seem to be tight ot tender? Is he eating as enthusiastically as ever, is he drooling at all?

Have a read-up on canine cognitive dysfunction, which is basically dementia in older dogs - that could be a possibility.

Some vets are now reopening, so if he continues like this, hopefully you'll be able to get him fully checked over sooner rather than later.

If it's worrying you, you could get a second opinion. Vets aren't like GPs, you can see a second one easily.
