Oops, getting a bit close in that last photo! :sweating: At least Mitch is used to dogs so he won't be too shocked when he wakes up lol! (w00t) I remember taking Josh to friends when he was still quite young and their cat made a lunge at him and just missed his eye with his claws. He had a lovely little cut just underneath! Always been a bit wary since. :-
 
Flint does get a bit pushy Gillian....and Mitch especially gives him warnings... (w00t) :sweating: Im afraid he will have to learn...

but I do think Mitch sleeps with one eye open... :lol:

Ahhh. lovely pic :))

I am at a similar point with my puppy and cat. Saffy (the cat) has had the house to herself until now and is slowly getting to grips with having a whippet puppy around.

If anyone has any advice on this topic I'd love to hear from you!! So far I am keeping a close eye on them and Saffy is getting braver each day. I am very careful not to allow the puppy (pixie) to get smacked in the face by the cat, and the only time she is a bit naughty around the cat is when she is full of beans and wanting to play.... there is no aggression. I am trying to remain in control, but allow them to get on with it at the same time to a certain extent as i want Pixie to respect Saffy and not chase her.

I think I am getting there gradually!!!

ps- oh and just to point out Saffy is a rather fat housecat that doesn't move very fast or very far :wacko:

Certainly does take a bit of time, I have 3 cats as well as my whippets.......when Flint arrived 5 weeks ago he was scared of the cats at first...but as hes getting older hes becoming

very bold and a little terror at times. Like you I just try to supervise and scold him when he gets too rough with them....Mitch is probably the most fierce of my cats, they can get away

with a lot more from Meeko my ginger tom, and Sooty my black girl....but Flint certainly pushes them to the limits at times !!!!

Flint sleeps in a crate at night, and will do so until I can trust him fully at night...which means not tearing round after cats in the night..... :thumbsup:

Thanks!!! Pixie has a crate too for overnight :teehee: At least then Saffy gets a few hours to prowl in peace

My boys agree, less the dangerous and terrifying ... luckily we don't have many cats in the vicinity (w00t)
