Jeremy only wanted a forever loving home.....
(pic of a grey with one eye)
Yet he was found with injuries described as among the most horrific ever seen. He was emaciated, covered in mange and had bites that went down to the bone causing the loss of an eye. His injuries were so severe it’s suspected that, after he had outlived his usefulness as a racing dog, he’d been used as a training aid for a dog fighting ring.
He was taken to Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue in Halifax and it was here, in care of this specialist rescue centre that re-homes more than 250 dogs every year, that Jeremy began his long journey back to health and eventually found his happy new forever home.
Whilst many Greyhounds and Lurchers have happy lives, there are others who suffer neglect, abuse and homelessness when they become surplus to requirements.
At Burgess we love Greyhounds and Lurchers, so we created Supadog Greyhound and Lurcher, a complete food specifically developed for the nutritional needs of pet Greyhounds and Lurchers. Burgess will donate 20p for every 15kg sack and 5p for every 2.5kg bag bought, to rescue centres belonging to the Alliance of Independent Greyhound Rescues. This is a forever promise to these beautiful, peaceful animals.

Even if you don't own a Greyhound or Lurcher you can still help our 'Make a Purchase, Make a Difference' appeal by making a donation to an independant Greyhound or Lurcher rescue centre through Just Giving or passing this e-mail on to others who might like to help make a brighter future for Greyhounds and Lurchers like Jeremy.
