Has anyone made a home made lure? If so was difficult and expensive, and how please! :))

We raced at Fordingbridge the other weekend and this was their lure machine, very well made and the added bonus of the lure being on wheels so you can pull it up the field with ease and the start button is on the handle. (hope this helps) di

Thanks for the lovely picture!

If you don't want to go to the trouble of making your own, Rod Gaunt on here makes superb lure machines

this is my lure machine, i made it last year and ive used half inch chain on it (same size as a motorbike chain, so it will never snap),this is an old picture and now it also has bearings at each end of the rods that are holding the cogs in place, and with using large down to small cogs i turn the handle once and the spool goes round 47 times, we ran greyhouds behind it and the never had a chance of catching it,

so there is no need at all for and battery, its all hand power

no a great picture but ive never takin 1 of in action
