Name is "Rhian"

Stolen from: Abergavenny, Gwent on 16/7/03

Circumstance of loss: The owner left the car unattended in the driveway for a moment to get his suitcase from the house, and the dog was stolen in that time.

Hi Beejay and all, just found this forum so am posting to keep you up-to-date on the search for Rhian, stolen from my friend Bruce. Thanks for posting her details. We had a sighting of her in Ludlow back in August, but then followed a false trail after the wrong dog up in Craven Arms. Then last Saturday 27 Sept there was a possible sighting by an experienced lurcherman who was visiting the town and did not at the time know about Rhian. He noticed the colour and the fact that this dog did not seem to be connecting with the accompanying man. He got the impression that this man was not the owner, and noted his appearance. Man is 5'10", stout build, black hair, unusual goatee beard being very narrow (about 1/4" wide only), described as looking like a traveller. Seen in Market Square, Ludlow.

We have had excellent co-operation from Ludlow Police and from many lurcher-friendly people in Ludlow and the surrounding area.

A couple of changes to the description - Rhian has white to all toes with more on back, and a small amount of white on the tail tip. If anyone wants a good set of pics, please mail me and I will send them. The other thing is that Rhian is not neutered. She was first described as being neutered in the hope that the thief would be more inclined to hand her in for reward or turn her loose, but within the next month or so it will become quite apparent that she is entire as she is likely to come into season.
