Smooth coated

White with tan

Tan ears, tan either side of head, white blaze through centre. Tan patch in centre of back. Small tan spot on upper front right leg.

Black ticking through coat, back legs pink

Height: 24 ins.

Age: 2 yrs. approx.

Wearing a leather greyhound collar

Name is "Perdita" (Purdy)

Stolen from: Lambourn Downs, Berkshire( on gallops just above Seven Barro) on 2/3/03;

Circumstance of loss: Was snatched by one of 3 or 4 men and thrown into powder metallic blue Subaru estate (reg H519 ***); they appeared to be trespassing, unregulated coursers and had been spotted in the area from 10:30 am until Purdy was stolen at 4:00 pm approx. They had up to 3 other lurchers with them, and used a smallish brindled lurcher to decoy Purdy up to their car. They drove off at speed in the direction of Upper Lambourn; one man (driver) roundish face with a beard, lightish brown hair; one who snatched dog approx 6 ft, darkish brown straight hair, slim. All appeared approx 30 yrs of age.

Additional Info: Purdy came from Battersea Dogs' Home in April 2002; (classified by them as a lurcher); Insuranced. Police informed - URN 1099 02/03/03, crime number to follow. E-mail containing photographs, etc to follow.
