LURCHER SHOW starts at 1 o'clock to be judged by Lee Sherry. 17 classes including child handler.

Qualifiers for Chatsworth,Midland Games,South West Supreme and many more.

We have been asked if we will be having any Whippet racing.

Yes we are quite willing to run them but it would have to be separate from the two 16 dog Lurcher Stakes.

Any breed of dog can take part in the fun runs after the racing.

Ground conditions are getting better all the time for racing,so we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.Don't forget it's a 10 o'clock start.

We have just recieved a copy of the Show Post,which tells us all that will be going on at the shoe on Sunday.

Besides the Lurcher racing and Show,there is a FAMILY DOG SHOW and PET SHOW.

DOG AGILITY, DONKEY SHOW, WESSEX SHETLAND Pony Group Show,BRITISH DRIVING SOCIETY (carriage drivers) Concours d'Elegance etc. HEAVY HORSE demonstrations in the display ring.

Gun Dog display,Falconry etc in the ring.

Vintage gathering of vehicles.(modern classics,vintage,machinery,steam and much more).

Trade and craft stands, food hall,Real ale bar, Hog Roast and local food.

Lots of music and digger driving are just a few of the attractions going on throughout the day.

RACING RESULTS FOR SUNDAY JUNE 12TH 2011.

THE WEATHER WAS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING ALL DAY LONG,SO WE WERE VERY PLEASED THAT THE HARDY FEW CAME TO RACE.

THE DOGS REALLY LOVED THE WET, COOL CONDITIONS AND SOME BRILLIANTLY CLOSE LURCHER RACING TOOK PLACE.

OVER 23" LURCHER CHAMPION WAS 'FIRE' owned by Neil and Lorna Hutt.

RESERVE CHAMPION WAS 'JAKE' owned by Andy Tottle.

UNDER 23" RACING CHAMPION WAS 'FREEDOM' owned by Neil and Lorna Hutt.

RESERVE CHAMPION WAS 'SETH' owned by L&G Frampton.

WHIPPET CHAMPION WAS 'HOMER' owned by Pat Quant.

RESERVE CHAMPION was 'TWIZZLE' owned by Jenny Whitelock.

Many thanks to all the helpers Hollie, Badge, Lee, Andy and to everyone who came and supported the racing and the Lurcher show that took place afterwards.A lot of the wet stuff certainly doesn't put off the dedicated racers.
