LSB 1585/11/F:

Lurcher - Collie x Whippet -bitch (unsure if neutered)

Gold

White socks

A little overweight

Age: 6 years

Name is "Sox"

Went missing from: Baschurch, Shrewsbury, Shropshire on 8/11/03

Circumstance of loss: Sox was frightened by fireworks and disappeared at about 6pm

Additional Info: She is quite timid with strangers

I just got news of this one - she was seen at the top of Pride Hill in Shrewsbury at midday the day before yesterday (Tues 17th Nov), near Barclays Bank. She was wandering around going up to various people and sniffing them.

It is possible that she was picked up by the dog wardens who do patrol the town centre regularly.

I will check with the lurchersearch site and mail them if she is still up there and has not been recovered.

The dogwarden did not pick this dog up. Need to check some details with owners to make sure we are talking about the same dog.

It would appear to have been a different dog. Dog warden thinks this one belongs to one of the people who come into the town and spend time in the pub while leaving their dogs to wander.

But the good news is that Kaye just mailed me to say that Sox has been found :)

Sox was reunited with her owners after an aritcle in the local paper was read by the farmers who had taken her in. She wandered into their house, 8 miles away from her own home and they kept her till they found her owner.
