I hope your able to find these dogs it must be very distressing for the owners.I used to have a lurcher he was a smashing dog.I used to go to gamefairs and show him he did alright. The only problem was i always had men coming upto me wanting to buy him off of me.Someone offered me £100 pound for him which I refused as he was such a good dog. When this happens you have to keep a close eye on them because of them being stolen.Good luck with your search for these dogs.

It can have very devastating effects on owners who have their dogs stolen. I know of some people who never leave their dogs unattended now. Which means that unless they can take the dogs with them either husband or wife stays at home. I know of one couple who after having a second lot of dogs stolen decided to have the remaining dogs pts and to move home. They couldn't face the horror of wondering how much suffering their dogs were going through.

An odd piece of information connected with the silver grizzle Saluki that was stolen from the NEC area of Birmingham.

An almost identical Saluki was found near the NEC having been dumped from a red car which is thought to have been a Jag. This dog was dumped a week before the other Saluki was stolen. Spooky! The dumped dog is now in the care of a greyhound rescue.

BTW Sue I've passed on your email re Appleby. Thanks. Someone I know went there although at that time he didn't ask about his missing dog he had been all over the country asking about her. He was spotted at Appleby and was warned to leave or else. Which he did.

She's back home. She was handed into the local vets the next day. She's now been micro-chipped.
