It is with very sad news I have joined your forum, in the hope of finding the owner of a lovely lurcher bitch who I witnessed being involved in an RTA last night on Wyresdale Road, Quernmore, Near Lancaster. Unfortunately she died on the way to the vets. 
The bitch looked around 4-6 years old and was cream/fawn in colour and was medium sized and smooth coated. She was wearing a leather collar, but had no tag and was not microchipped. She had a scar on the inside of her back leg.
I have informed the dog warden, police and local stray kennels. Apparently the bitch had been seen wandering for the past couple of days but no-one had been able to catch her.
