My whippet/bedlington lurcher Baxter, age 4 1/2, was recently diagnosed with CT after extensive testing. He's on lots of medication and has been responding well, though he is still quite poorly. He's otherwise a very fit dog and I want to give him every possible chance so am asking for advice from anyone with any experience of this nasty condition. Quite a lot of what I've found is fairly old and medication and opinions have moved on. Diet in particular is what bothers me and vets have not been helpful. He's going through a bout of nausea at the moment after a bit of stupid feeding on my part, so isn't eating. When he feels better his appetite is good.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help,

Baxter's mum.

Oh no! Poor Baxter.

Sorry cannot help with your questions. The nurses at your practice might have some ideas on suitable food? My Whippet had Addisons Disease and, when she was really poorly, I could only get her to eat Hills I/d (stands for Invalid Diet). Might be worth a try?

Thanks both. Doing lots of research online and the Hills does look good, though he doesneed to be tempted! At the moment we're giving him all home - cooked food but I need tobe sure he's getting all he needs. Pets at Home do a free nutritional consultation so we're doing that. Any help, from anywhere! Thanks for replying.
