Their are a number of Whippet / Sighthound rescue charities, JR Whippet rescue and Just Whippets are two. I would suggest contacting them. Fortunately Whippets don't have a lot of adults looking for a home but their are a few normally through family break ups or deaths. Good luck with your search, and if you do get one you will get a wonderful dog.
