Lovely suprise to find a Pheasant had paid us a visit in the garden this morning, we have lots round the fields surrounding the village

but never had one in the garden....he must have been hungy. Think my hubbys going soft in his old age.. :lol: he even kept the dogs inside

till hed gone.

Isnt he beautiful :wub: no comments please about Pheasant for Sunday lunch.... :-

They are exceptionally striking in their plumage, aren't they!!!

We have dozens of them on our land as we live next door to the local shooting estate :eek:

They fly over here to take cover and then the whippets chase them - so they can't win!!! Ella has been known to grab them out of mid-air as they are taking off :oops: ......... very tasty!!! :-

mmm Yes they are not very swift when leaving the ground...are they... :lol:
 
He is beautiful ;) We have a regular pheasant visitor who comes across the fields, for some reason via our garden- even the children know that they should only whisper when they see him in the garden, so the whippies dont pour through the dog flap and grab him :eek:
