Littleport Fun-day

The club was invited to take part in the Littleport Leisure Centre’s Fun-day in Cambridgeshire on Sunday, 10th July 05. The part of the playing field set aside for the racing was only long enough for a 120 yards track so a handicap of 1 foot/pound was used.

The Heats winners were Edward, Millie Any’um, Laika Angel & Muppy Puck

Points awarded to the runners to find the overall winner. After three rounds the final points tally was a s follows;-

1 Muppy Puck 12 (unbeaten in all rounds)

2 Laika Angel 11

3 Lucy 10

4jt Lizzie 8

4jt Edward 8

Veterans

1 Millie Any’um 8

2 Bonny 6

The weather was hot, 30 degrees C. The track had been well watered so the going was soft to good, very soft in patches.

I am only 7 miles from littleport would have come to? What is the requirements of a racer, my whippet is very fast and not up to show standard.
