Thank you for all the kind thoughts everyone :huggles:
I've just heard from the vet, she is keeping Rosie in tonight Although her white blood cell count is at the high end of normal at around 15, that doesn't really confirm a bacterial infection, so the bottom line is that she isn't really sure what is causing this yet and wants to keep her on fluids and IV antibiotics. Her temperature is back to normal now.
There is no indication of any infection or illness other than the symptoms she has been showing since Thursday morning - depression, unwillingness to move, fear of being touched and muscular tension which all shout Spinal Meningitis to me
I thought she would be home today, so I'm completely gutted and worried sick now :'( :'(
omg jane what a shock reading this, i do hope shes soon on the mend and is feeling good again.
my worst fear would be leaving any of mine at the vets over night it was bad enough having to leave brian the cat ... least shes in good hands and they will give her everything she needs.
Aw Jane, I've been thinking about her all day. Hard as it is, she is in the right place...they'll look after your little girl and give her all that she needs xxx
