i have this little dog in my possesion at the moment - she's been hanging around my village for a couple of days. she's very small, about 6 years old? black and tan. in season at the moment and looks like she's had pups in the past. doesn't seem like she's ever been on a lead or lived in a house? i guess she's lost or possibly dumped ( i am a bit worried that she's just come from a farm but i've never seen her around here before and she certainly doesn't seem to know the way home. dog warden and doglost informed. found near pilton, shepton mallet, Wells area.

Aww bless her,

Id like to think shes just escaped.....but so many horrible tales about dumpred dogs these days...its just terrible....

hope she finds her home soon. :luck:

Aww , she is lovely

Poor little soul

She's so cute

Wonder if she got left behind after the gamefair? :(

She's very cute and looks just like Sadie, a bitch owned by the lady who walks my boys at lunchtimes. Sadie was a rescue and they are devoted to each other. Unfortunately she is quite old and on the verge of passing away. They look almost identical  . If no one claims her I wonder if I might mention this bitch to her?

Bless her, what a little sweetie. Sadly it doesn't sound likely there's a loving owner looking for her, but I hope I'm wrong. Have you had any travellers in the area recently who might have left her behind? :(

I assume if the DW knows about her she will scan her for a chip, she could possibly have been stolen from somewhere else and dumped there. Just hope for her sake she's not pregnant if she's been straying while she's in season

i hope she's not pregnant! she is marking alot but not bleeding and there are no male dogs hanging around (still swollen bits!)

i am quite sure she's not used to being on a lead - we're making a bit of progress but she just sits down, confused and tries to paw her collar off - maybe she's been tied up.

dog warden know i've got her as do 3 rescues in the area so if someone had been searching there should have been contact.

i think she is an escapologist so whoever gets her will need to have a very secure garden. i will be looking for her forever sofa - she's sooo friendly -a dear little thing. i have a lurcher and whippet cross of my own but regularly have other people's dogs so i'm afraid keeping her would tip the balance for me! anyway, whippie Hector is VERY put out!

If she has been in season, might explain why she was wandering. Probably to late for an injection to prevent a pregnancy proceeding though. What a pretty girl she is. I hope she is claimed or finds a lifetime sofa soon
