The known retailers of affected sofas are Argos,Homebase, Land of Leather,and Walmsleys.

Typical symptoms include a skin rash affecting the body, particularly the area that has been in contact with the furniture.

Breathing difficulties have also been reported.

It was on Watchdog a couple of years ago - some terrible rashes people had. At the time the furniture manufacturers were trying to say it wasn't their responsibility, but they did start to get people their money back. Bet there's a few animals that have the problem, but no one would have thought of the sofa. Oh I forgot - no one on here lets their dogs on the sofa do they? mmmmmmm? :- "

All the time, June! A word of warning - if you apply Frontline to your dogs do not let any to drip on your leather sofas - we(I mean I) ruined a nice suite that way.

That's a jolly good tip Janis, as we do use Frontline. Generally they don't seem to get on the sofa when they have been done - they roll in their beds or on the rugs, so they get a dose of Frontline too :lol: But will now make sure they don't get on the leather suite until they're dry :thumbsup:

Do any of you realise that the frontline you all pay a small fortune for,can be bought in larger containers,(for cows),and is exactly the same as for dogs n cats.Only a hell of a lot cheaper .If a few of you could go together,and buy it.About a ml is enough per dog.Wormers are same.Worm All is great,and cost penny's,compared to Drontal +,or Lapatol.With things going the way they are at the moment.We should look into cheaper but as effective ways of treating our dogs for these things.Now,back to topic.My wife has an ich on her neck for quite some time now,and it flares up from time to time.We purchased a 3 n 2 recliner set from Land Of Leather,about a year ago,so must mention this to her.Thankyou for this imfo.
