Took this yesterday whilst taking a few photo's of a combine harvester my dad had on Demo. Obviously i had the camera set for shooting the combine and the leveret jumped out the corn. I could have done with a faster shutter speed really..

Great series Mally.

Been yonks since I last saw a Hare - beautiful creatures.

It would have been a much better photo if it was taken in about 4 weeks time, i would have needed a mmmmuuuuuccccchhhhh faster shutter speed and there would be a strong possibility of vixen being in the photo too. :- :- :-

Thanks for the nice comments

We have a healthy feral hare population here in Australia and I see them quite frequently on our walks. Howard saw his first hares the other day.. a 'romantic' pair lept out onto the road in front of us and became rather amorous, oblivious to the Whippet bearing down rapidly.

They lept off into the bush with H in hot pursuit but he lost them quickly. All survived the experience.

They aren't small animals - they are bigger than my Miniature Poodles!
