We've recently bought a new laptop, but I haven't a clue what I need to set it up to connect to the internet. :b My husband's too busy to sort anything out so I thought I'd ask on here to speed things up a bit!! I know there'll be plenty of people who know the answer. :D Thanks

if you have another computer in ur house with the internet you could get a wireless rooter but if not then a dno .. soriiee...!!

Gillian, It might be best to pop along to your nearest computer shop and ask them what is needed.

I have a D-link wireless router plugged into my main PC then a Belkin wireless adapter plugged into my laptop and sons PC in his room. I'm sure technology has progressed since I had this though :b

I'll show you next week ..lol

I run both from a wireless router :)

I have a Netgear Router Gillian...which Im proud to say I managed to set up all by myself. :) (after a bit of a struggle I will admit) but hey got there in the end,...

My main PC and the laptop run from the netgear router to the internet.

We bought the laptop at PC world and they do a service for around £80.00 if you buy the router there...they come to your home and set it all up ready to use, but there are plenty of other services out there too.

Sorry I can't be any help. I couldn't get the wireless router to work and I ended up losing my temper with it a bit so I just plug mine in. For me, it doesn't really matter whether I'm wireless or not though because I always sit in exactly the same place, which is right near the phone point :D

I set up the wireless at work though no problem
