Hi,

A friend of mine (whippet breeder) has been contact by a lady in the westcountry that has just lost both her elderly whippets :( . She is absolutely distraught to be without a whippet as she has always had them.

She is looking for another one but unfortunately is a bit short of money and the only ones she has seen for sale are £400. So I said I would just keep my eyes open on here as sometimes whippets for rehoming do come up, she is happy to have a slightly older puppy or young adult, no problem or possibly an older dog.

I have been assured she provides her whippets with the perfect home, and attends the fun days and is completely besotted by whippets

Anyway worth a post just in case, you never know :luck:

Good luck with your search. :luck: Hope she finds a Whippet soon.

There is a sweet little 6 month fawn brindle boy with Sheya Rescue- www.sheyagreyhoundrescue.com. And they're really nice there- my Nana came from them.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that OEH  I think it may be a little too far for her though as she based in the westcountry and don't think she can go that far.

I have heard though that she is contacting JR whippet rescue today as there maybe a dog there. Also I have already had a couple of possibilities - so thanks everyone :D

i know were there r two sisters that were rescued that r looking a good home. , but i will have to get them spayed before they get a new home. so if the lady is interested in one or both get back to me before the weekend. viv

Try this link - an 11 week old puppy £150.00 plus more. This one in Lancashire but also some others.

I also know of a family looking for an older bitch , they already have a whippet cross ( boy ) thats 7 months and dont want another pup . they have no intention of breeding either , but would like a bitch . they are in the Nottingham area and have been offered an older bitch for the price of a puppy £400.00 (w00t) , which I personnallly think is a bit of a check, :- " when the breeders have bred from the bitch and no longer has any use for it

Haven't heard as yet, but I've given my friend some pointers to give to her so I'm sure something will work out

did the lady find a whippet? thought it would be nice to know the outcome
