I don't know how many people on here will have read her books or come into contact with her but a lovely lady and fantastic dog person died on Thursday 20th December.

I 'know' her from doggy email lists that we were both on. She was using positive training methods long before most other trainers were. She used herbal and homeopathic remedies before their recent resurgent popularity and she got many of us to try them :) and become converts. She would always try to help with any problems with dogs and was never loud, pushy or aggressive with her advice as other 'lesser' trainers have been known to be. She was still giving training lessons up to a few months ago.

RIP Joyce. Now free of pain and with her dogs.

Oh that is so sad, I have loved Joyce's books for many many years and was lucky enough to have had email contact with her in the past. RIP to a truly lovely lady.

Oh how sad - what a talented lady she was - I loved her books as a kid and since - then discovered I lived near her for a few years - but never met properly

RIP dear lady

A great loss :(

A lady who has left a legacy of love and patience.

I have very fond memories of Joyce - I've been reading her books since the 70s and always found her to be full of good common sense and a very caring attitude.

RIP Joyce - you won't be forgotten.

Loved her books so very sad to hear of her passing

RIP

Pauline
