Anyone else watch this chap? His enthusiasm for wildlife seems quite boundless, does make me chuckle at times though as he constantly tells a very silent BBC cameraman to be quiet and he's the one making the noise!!

Yes we watch him as Albus loves watching all the wildlife. We recorded it last night and have yet to watch it. He is a bit of a character though.

Yes he's very good to watch. We are counting how many times he says "My Land" He's obviously really chuffed about it all.

love this guy - he makes me laugh so much, but he is also doing such a great job "on his land" and "in his woods" :)

the best bit has to be the starlings and the camouflage hide out on the water (w00t)

I love his programme too. I don't think Johnny realises the filming is about him though and not so much about his wildlife filming  They are capturing his love and enthusiasm for filming and wildlife, which in turn is teaching us something about the wildlife on Exmoor.

It was the same with Christine's Garden (did anyone see that series?) on BBC2. The filming was about her passion for gardening, her own garden and the people she met through gardening. It wasn't really about gardening. :)

I also watched Christines garden and found it very enjoyable!you are right I think,it's not too much about the subject it's more about these larger than life characters who have such a zest for life.Johny obviously is so proud of his land..and who wouldnt be really, not many of us could afford that could we?he must be very well paid by the BBC to have managed to buy that amount of land and I'm sure he drives his wife nuts but good luck to him I say!!Just wish I could do that.

Christine and her neighbour,Reg? were great werent they and reminiscent of a gentler age than today as they helped each other out all the time. How lucky to have neighbours like that.

Two really good programmes and no swearing or blood, not that I'm a prude but how refreshing. :b
