Jealous puppy

hello I’m in desperate need of advice. I have a 3 yr old girl Shih tzu cross and a 7 month old boy french bull dog cross pug puppy. They get on well most of the time, the puppy is domineering but I think that has to do with him being a boy. The problem is I can’t play with both dogs at the same time as the puppy takes the toy of the older dog and pushes her if I hold one of the dogs and give them attention while throwing a ball for the other dog the puppy will try and attack the older dog also if my son (he’s 11) plays with both dogs the puppy will attack the older dog. Any advice is welcome.

Is it definitely attacking or is it just really rough play? Either way, the answer is to give each of them time separately. Play, training and walking separately are all good strategies, your girl will probably appreciate you taking the bolshy pup away to give her some peace and your boy will learn faster if he has focus on you and not her. And if he is getting too rough with her, you should step in and stop him - it's your job, not hers, to call a halt before things get rough.
