This is Kobi, my friends have rescued him from a pound and were told he is a Whippet. He is rather big and has a short bushy tail, but he still looks like a Whippet. What do you think?

Is he the Kobi whos running round with your little blue darling on your other thread Blue Puppy.

I don't think he is 100% whippet, looks like a touch of terrier in that body!

A very handsome boy whatever :D

I am glad that most agree he is a Whippet (definitely not my type) but i just cannot see any other breed in him.

I just rescued a whippet who is a bit big- almost 22" to the shoulder. And I wonder about her, and people who know whippets say "no, she is a whippet.' ( I will post a pic soon) So I started the thread "how big is your whippet" - which is full of interesting stuff which sheds light on the kind of thing you have been wondering here.

Some whippets are so tiny, and others more robust looking. I'm suppose this variation happens in all breeds, though I dont know.
