hi neil this is like the no limit heat with kipper just comming along side wonderwall i don' know if you have got a copy but if you havn't you should get one it is called Care of the Racing Greyhound it lists every possible injury and treatment you can think of and quite a few more you read it and you find injuries when there are none great for excuses when you have a bad day.

hi steve i have got books,videos of whippets and greyhounds,and your right the more you read them the more you tend to worry about the dogs, i pick up little things when just watching my dogs walk, the way their muscles are shaped ,the movements of the legs,even our lass says im too cautious with the dogs,but i only have the dogs well being in mind,no one likes to run a dog if they think their not up to it, one video i have is by

dr.j.klose;tapeworm & flea control. its very interesting.

but as you say there great for excuses especially when our dogs run crap.

Very boring- If we have an injury I go to my vet( so thats why he drives a decent car!!)- no seriously we do,obviously there are some things you know will clear up quite soon, but anything im not sure about we go. we did invest in a portamag and im still not sure to this day if it works but the dogs like lying in it and sam likes playing in it :cheesy:

hi michelle i have a portamag but have been told they do nothing for muscle injuries,they do their best work on bone injuries,i get ,my dogs checked by an osteopath before and after they have run,he says the porta mag is only good for relaxing the dog after racing,as nothing can beat a good massage with a good linament, also if you know what the problem is, bloke from megastore is very helpfull,i do use the vet but not very often.

You lucky thing true faith is ALWAYS at the vets, in fact he just sends us a monthly account now!!!, true faith is one of those dogs who is permanately injured:sad:, wherehas hobgoblin who broke her leg(fairly serious injury) has come back ok, last time I went to an oesteopath I was'nt remotely impressed, so I just stick to my vet now(excellent greyhound vet!!!)
