I hope you're all enjoying your Christmas breaks.

Myself, I spent too much time in the pub on Christmas Eve (unheard of for me). I don't usually go out on Christmas Eve, but my lovely neighbours invited me out, as Mick was working. I did manage to get home in time for Gavin and Stacey though :sweating: but after a few more eggnogs I was a tad worse for wear, it has to be said

Christmas Day was very relaxing (we won't mention my slight hangover  ), but I really enjoyed Boxing Day. The sun shone (unheard of too) and we spent a few hours out and about. By some chance we happened upon our favourite 'local' country pub.....and I enjoyed a glass or two of mulled wine. Perfect!

I did happen to take a few photos of our Boxing Day stroll. They're rubbish photos....just snatched shots..but here they are anyway (we left Fred at home as we didn't think he'd manage all the road walking - it's an hour to the pub almost  ):

Did anyone else go out for a walk on Boxing Day. Any pictures?

Why are all the images being re-sized? Is this just a temporary thing or do we need to alter some resizing settings on photobucket? The re-sizer is making my rather poor images even worse. I've noticed with other members photos too. It's making for some very poor quality photos..... :(

Just managed to catch a few minutes on Richard's computer while he's out! This enforced, reduced K9 activity is a nightmare! :sweating:

That looks like a nice walk with some lovely views - I nearly decided to join you yesterday after all, but we ended up taking a stroll round one of the reservoirs - no pictures unfortunately. But wasn't it nice to see the sunshine. The mulled wine looks good. :) We came back from our pub lunch with a whole bottle after Richard said how much he liked it after the carols in the pub last Sunday. :- The landlords saved him a bottle!

K9 was down yesterday anyway Gillian, so you haven't missed much.

That was nice of the landlord to remember Richard like that.

We had a lovely walk yesterday along our local canal. It was really gorgeous, but unfortunately I didn't take my camera.

I really love where you live, Nicola. It looks so scenic. Thanks for sharing your pics. Mulled wine - what could be nicer on a cold day.

That looked like heaven Nicola...and I love mulled wine... lovely fresh air too...and a nice walk,.

Unfortunately dont want to spoil your thread...but Ive had the worst one ever for a while.

My Son and I are down with the flu and have coughed and spluttered our way through it...feeling quite rough.

Richards mam had a nasty fall in the house and had to spend a few days in a community hospital because she

couldnt manage the stairs... I wasnt allowed to visit because of the flu...or even her come to us for lunch either..which she was supposed

to be doing...

I havnt been over the doors since Christmas Eve...so Im feeling a bit sorry for myself. :b

never mind things can only get better..... :*

...Ah-ha...Nigel's increased the photo size allowance :sweating: :sweating: My photos no longer have that black band at the top saying they've been reduced in size. :teehee:

I really think members are going to have to make a New Year's Resolution to take their cameras out more on their walks, especially for sad people like myself that thrive on other people's dog walk photos.

Janis...I'm so sorry you're having a rotten time of it. I was lucky and got my virus out of the way just before Christmas. I had an awful cough.....it took 10 days or so to get over it. Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law too! I hope things start to improve soon for you.

I was on Stanage Edge yesterday, it was really busy! I must definitely make a resolution to take more pictures, I only ever take the camera to the seaside!

I was there a month or so back (and remembered my camera :- ). There are some lovely views to be had.

Hi Nicola - nice pics of a lovely walk by the looks of it

I've been up on Salisbury Plain the last three mornings  and I remembered my camera...and I took some pictures...but I forgot to take any of the views (w00t) , because I was so excited to have Alfie with me as I didn't think he'd make it up there again  , let alone to run around :teehee: , I will put the pics up soon
