I Asked About Burns But What About Arden Grange

I asked about opinions on Burns dry food but what about Arden Grange? This seems to have good reviews ....

Personally, i don't think it's possible to say 'Burns is better than Arden Grange' for example. There are the better foods and then those i wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

I will always feed a raw diet predominantly, but as i said to you before, do have a sack of complete in for use now and then when i need it.

When looking for a complete you want one that is free of additives and hypoallergenic. Avoid ones that are packed full of fillers, colourings and additives - eg Bakers!!

We use Fish4Dogs and Skinners but Arden Grange is defo one of the good ones too.

I guess it's just try it and see what suits your dog/dogs ..... but as Jok said I would personally avoid feeding my lot things like bakers that are full of additives ..... says me sharing a packet of doritos with my lot as I type .... opps lol ... (w00t)

i feed my lot Arden grange, it's never upset owens sensitive tummy and the blacks dogs have good coats on it, their stools are firm, (though they do quite a bit of it) and they aren't too farty,

i'd ideally feed raw but for now it's convenient to feed this

Feed what ever suits your dog and you .

If your dog looks well on what you are feeding stick to it , Some food s like Royal Canin Ive found you dont need to feed the volume of other biscuits . Just because its expensive dosnt mean its the best .or that the cheapest is the worst JMO

Well I've never heard that saying but it sure gets the point across!!! Lol

I have been reading ingredients and it seems fine as does Burns.

i feed my lot Eukanuba small bit puppy and adult and raw bones ,sardines and eggs couple times a week ,they look really well on it to,i did change over to arden grange around november but my rosie started getting bald patches ,so changed back and no more bald patches ,so i think its whatever suits your dog best

Over a number of years I have tried a variety of dried dog foods (from cheap to expensive!!) - Burns, Arden Grange, Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Red Mills and Skinners, and probably others I don't remember.

I have found both my whippets are not enthusiastic when given just dried food, although Bobby (Collie X) will eat anything. Initially with a new food they would eat it, but after a while they lost interest, even with the most expensive ones. I now have a regime that works for us. I feed Skinners dried mixed with a little Wainwrights moist food (morning) and a little tinned food (evening). They always finish their meals now and seem healthy. Someone on K9 recommended Skinners and I have been very happy with it. They do different varieties and I have it delivered.

I have thought about feeding BARF, but it isn't practical for me for a number of reasons.

As others have said, you have to find what suits your dog.
