this questinon is TOTALLY hypothetical. First - it won't happen because I'm not in the situation and second it's not based on anything - just a thought in my head.

I know that you can't take your dog under the breeder - and I wouldn't under breeder's spouse either - because that's just bad form. But suppose I bought a second dog from a different breeder - I have a good relationship with breeder 1, is it bad form to take the new dog under him or her??

And if it is acceptable and not really bad form - can I enter the dog bred by them as NFC or do you have to not enter it at all?

Like I said I'm not in that situation - new pup is from same breeders, but just curious.

I cant see any reason why you can` t show a dog under someone whom youve previously bought a dog from. Ive show under Jessie and Johnstone mcCleod more than once since buying Badger, also under Roger Stock .,whom I had Fleur off

Its only these last few years that you`ve not been able to show a dog brought from a breeder under the breeder ;)

Im on friendly terms ( I hope ) with lots of peps, but only my closest friends and those I travel with would I not enter or expect them to enter under me . If you do you cant win , :- "

If they place you is because `they are your mates` and if they dont place you `its because they`re your mates and it would look bad if they did` :b

EG Roma Wright -Smith who I travelled with alot at the time was doing Crufts.

I didnt enter Mayzee and more than 1 person said to me before judging ` you will have a good day today !!` See what i mean :- "

A good honest judge will place you if your dog is worthly of a place wether youve had one from them or not (hopefully :- " )

BTW Ive seen your new puppy  It will be interesting to see which one you chose :)) they are all super pups ,

Tried to put one under my jacket but Richard and Dawn spotted it :( , Didnt think theyd notice  .

Bet you cant wait , we want lots of Photos , mind you it was very difficult to get the little blighters to stand still long enough to see what they looked like ,

Completely unruly , as you`d expect from Dawn , She`s never had a well behaved one yet :- " and as for Richard  :clown:

And as for their Names    (w00t)

Well whether or not THEY noticed *I* would certainly have noticed!! It's all up in the air at the moment and I guess we're going to decide when we go pick her up on Friday (can't wait!!).

The litter is just stunning and I will happily bore everyone with puppy pictures LOL. And yes, we're expecting all kinds of naughty things from the new pup - and if she doesn't think of it I'm sure Savannah will be glad to teach her all kinds of naughty tricks!

And thanks for the answer re going under judges.

It seems to me that you are perfectly okay to enter puppy under friendly judge, provided they did not actually breed it.

If you are VERY friendly with the judge it would put him/her in an awkward position if they are sensitive though, but just casually friendly seems fine.,

If NO friends entered under judge "friends" - there might be some jolly empty classes!

Entering NFC is fine if it enables you take a dog to a benched show. Rather than leave it at home, then you can take it with you.

It is nice sometimes (even if a bit expensive) to enter NFC just as a complimentary entry.

You sound sensible enough to answer your own question though! and obviously you would be at great pains not to upset people.

I don't show anymore - but felt like replying anyway - so that is an objective view.
