could any horsy lot could tell me how to work out the paces to put dressage markers out for the normal size dressage arena

i use to know but havent done it for a while

i just mark it out with tape measure, i have funny strides so cant stride it! :- "

this might sound confusing but, if you are marking out a 20 x 40..... 20m on short side (a & c) then 40m down long side. obviuosly B & E halway at 20m, and H,K,M,F all want to be 6m away from the short side  then 12m apart for the rest ....??? have i confused you??

if you google it then there is alot of help.

thanks tinker

sort of coming back to me

Definitely easier to use a measuring tape, dimensions as described above. Best with a willing helper to mark out. We used to set out 6 arenas regularly for pony club rallies and, whilst striding is useful for walking SJ courses, not precise enough for dressage arenas. :)
