I have just joined this forum as we would like to offer a home to a whippet. We currently have no pets, live in London and have a house with a yard. Greyhound Gap came to do a rehoming visit a couple of weeks ago and have given us the 'green light' to have one of their rescue dogs. My partner and I both love dogs. We work during the day but have a dogwalker lined up to come round every weekday for some midday companionship and exercise. If anyone knows of a whippet in need of a loving home please let me know, or advise of the best place to find one.

Have you tried Battersea Dogs Home? They have lots of breeds and crossbreeds looking for good homes. Also have you considered getting two dogs rather than one, then at least they will give each other company during the day. Lots of dogs homes have two dogs that need homing together. I always think leaving one dog alone is very bad for the dog - after all they are pack animals and enjoy company.

Welcome to K9. I'd post this on the whippet section. Not everyone reads this section.
