Hide Option Missing

Hi,

I was just wondering why I do not get the option to hide if i should want to, on my login screen?

I have looked at my controls, but can't see how to make this option available to me.

Any help would be appreciated,

when you log on, next to your name at the top where it say logged on as so and so next to it it say's log out click on that then you will hide your name and still be able to read the topics[/size
