Just wanted to say hi and that we have got ourselves a beautiful 11 wk old Irish Red Setter pup. We lost our best friend Ollie, a beautiful and faithful black Labrador, in Easter 2021 to Lymphoma which totally broke our hearts in two. After a couple of months, the house seemed so empty and we missed our walks with our dog. We tried adopting but applications were either ignored (100's of people apparently applying for dogs), few dogs without issues with aggression etc. or just unsuccessful and not being notified. We would have loved an older dog as we are both retired but struggled to find one since we started looking in June 2021. All in all, we decided to bite the bullet and buy a puppy at the current Covid exorbitant prices. Currently struggling with housebreaking and will be checking out the forums for guidance.
