HI Iam new to whippets and cant find a classes near me any hints and advise would be great my pup is just oaver 4 months old. thanks boyce

Hi Boyce welcome to k9

Have you had a look on the FAQ forum????

Learning to stack a dog for showing is very much a hands-on thing, if there is no ringcraft near you perhaps you could rock up to a champ show in your district and let k9'ers know you are coming ... they will be sure to give you some demos. :D

Iam in Derry N Ireland Whippets not very popular here lots up a Belfast that to far away to be any good

it dont matter much if there arent many whippys near you,a training class is the most important thing and you might meet whippy owners there.even if there arent any there then they can still help you with show training.what about asking the irish kennel club if there are any classes near you or over here some local libraries keep a list of training classes :))

Sure you'll find something soon. And if you pick up any tips on how to get a Deerhound to stand without leaning on the handler do tell! :b

I loved going to ringcraft classes, dont know that we learnt that much about showing Deerhounds, but it was a great experience and we met some smashing people (maybe its just me but people with other breeds are very forthcoming with tips and advice). The dogs love it as a bit of socialising too.
