Please would anybody in the essex area be kind enough to put up some posters of Diesel my stolen lurcher. I have been told this is the best way to try and get him back. Diesel's poster is on the dog lost website or I can post posters to anyone that needs them. Please, please help me to get my lurcher back safely.

Here is the link to Diesel on Doglost just click on the poster to print out.

Too far away (Wilts) to put posters up but wish you the very best of luck getting him back :luck:

Have you contacted the traveller liaison officer & dog warden yet? Sure the doglost fraternity will be very helpful putting posters up and keep them updated where you have already done and do keep checking they are still there as some people will pull them off!

Defo poster around all the 'sites' mentioned and make him too hot to handle!

My son who lives near Halstead is searching , his friend is a gamekeeper at Boxted he has been told and another friend with Lurchers at Eight Ash Green is aware.

Will now contact Hubby's daughter who lives nearly beside the traveller site just out side of Braintree.

:luck: finding your boy

This is the area that Ive just moved from - I was born in Braintree and have lived there all my life.

I have just sent Diesels info and pic to the Coggeshall village website (just up the road) and also the Colne Valley website - hopefully they may add his pic and details.

Things to try (only the owner can do this tho)

Nearest large dog wardens: Register him lost on the Colchester Council website

http://www.colchester.gov.uk/lost_dogs_lis...?sec_id=690#add

and ring the dog warden there - 01206 282581

Or Braintree dog warden

01376 551414 (ext 2217)

List of all vets in local area - concentrate on Braintree/Halstead/Colchester/Earls Colne and Witham

http://www.any-uk-vet.co.uk/county/essex.htm

There is also a Gypsy Liason Office (thats their official title) you can call them via the Braintree Council on 01376 552525 (you will have to ask to be put through to them) to see if they can help.

Also keep in touch with Danaher rescue - local branch of the RSPCA - http://www.rspcaessex.org.uk/

01371 851201 (Ive tried ringing them - but they have their answermachine on at the moment).

Ive also told my mum to print out a poster - she works in Earls Colne on an industrial estate - shes going to put up his poster.

Hope some of this helps a bit

Good Luck.

I have done all of that we think that he may be in the kent area as the lady who ran the dog show had a lad asking about her terriers and he matched the description of the one that took diesel when she asked him where he was from he said kent - i know he could be lying but it is worth a try.
