Hi, I have a 3 year old whippet bitch. She has been speyed. She is very slight in build, weighing only 8.75kg. She loses wieght very quickly if over excerised. She gets extremly stressed in unfamiliar situations. The problem is she has started to pee indoors during the day.

Up until about 3 months ago all was fine. She was clean both day and night. Then she started having the odd accident during the day, perhaps once a fortnight. I mentioned it to my vet who said it wasn't incontinence as it didn't happen at night and was a full flood, rather than just leakage. He suggested keeping a diary of how often she goes, the spacing of wee's and how much she drinks.

Over the last 5 days she has on average drank 650ml a day, I feel this is a lot, as although the weather has been hot I have deliberatly not given her exercise. During this time I have let her out every 1hr & 1/2 to 2 hrs and still we have had 4 accidents. These accidents happen during the day, between 11am and 4pm. She is fine overnight, going from 11pm through til 6.30am.

I do have a male whippet who is nearly 9 months old. He is dominate and they do get on.

I am wondering if this is stress related. Any ideas or remedies for stress would be appreciated

Hi she is feed a completely dry feed which is designed for fussy eaters.

Well he just wants to play all the time and she knows that he is the boss. I they both go for the ball she will back down and let him have it. When she has had enough she goes off on her own and finds somewhere quiet to sit.

At the moment the are separated in the house as I am monitring what she drinks.
