Hello, We're Back

Hello, I've been away from here for a long time as I have been really busy. I changed career and am now a Teacher!!

I thought you would like to here how Austin is getting on for those who remember him.

He is now 4 years old and the best dog in the world! We have been taking him to gun dog classes that a friend runs for some socialisation as he was barking at other dogs due to having a couple of bad experiences. The classes have been great fun and he is an excellent retreiver! Among about 7 Weimariners and 2 labradors he holds his own!

He had a bit of a bad time with a broken fence after running after a squirrel. You can see his scar on his thigh in the photo. But he never whimpered once. I did when I saw the bill as it was a sunday morning!

I joined 2 1/2 years ago and don't know Austin but he's lovely. Sorry to hear that he's been in the wars but it looks to have healed nicely. Those bills can be fairly heart stopping. :sweating:

it is SO good to see Austin, he was one of the B/W trio who were born at a similar time, TC's Badger, Austin and my Bluebell

I think I need to see a few more pictures of him though...please

Is TC still around? I don't think I've seen any posts from her.

Austin isn't so black anymore He's going grey on the edges

Also he unfortunately got bitten by another dog at the weekend :angry: so he is sporting 16 stitches. Hopefully well on the way to healing nicely.

Oh no poor Austin!

Bluebell is going greyer too, on her head, body is still black...TC is still about, but doesn't post pictures very often

Aww Austin is Lush :wub: Just read that bit about his Squirrel accident, wish I hadn't Dotty is obsessed with Squirrels, i'm dreading something like that happening to her, glad Austin made a full recovery :thumbsup:
