It was a dalmation that made me realise I liked dogs more than humans. I was only 7 dad came home with a dally pup but even though dad had done everything right the pup got distemper and eventually died. We kids were really upset and dad let us stay home from school that day. When I returned to school the day after my teacher had given my part in the school play to someone else..
She said you missed rehearsal so youre out .
I said but miss our puppy died.

Her reply... So. Its just a dog....

A turning point in my life I realised people could be awful nasty creatures.
