Oh lovely, we met a 12 week old cavalier king charles last week and my children got to give him a little biscuit - they were smitten. We were at puppy class, no dog, just me and the kids 
We were having a look at the class and training the kids as we are counting down to getting our whippet puppy.
I had CKC spaniels as a child and they were great. I remember (blush) dressing the dog up in doll's clothes and putting her in a doll pram, she sat there so glad to be included, but my mum found out and we didn't do that again
