There is some info here about heart murmors but i don't know if it tells you if they are hereditory but it might help :thumbsup:

A murmur is just a noise heard by listening with a stethoscope. It can be caused by anyhting that changes the bloodflow through the heart, including holes, valve defects and pprogressive disease. Whether it is hereditary or not depends largely on what the initial defect is. So some murmurs may be inherited (or at least have a genetic component to them) and some will be unrelated to genetics.
