Looking for help. My 7 year old dog has recently died with a heart cancer. She was fine one day and three days later despite vets best efforts she was gone leaving us devastated. We also have her sister from the same litter - is heart cancer a high possibility for her too? Is this cancer hereditary or in the genes?

I am so sorry. I don't know the answer but had previously believed that the heart didnt get cancer (maybe because it is a muscle rather than an organ?). So I now stand corrected. I understand it is very rare so I hope her sister is well. Please keep us posted.
