Hello! We bought powdered milk for our little puppy .The puppy is 30 days old - breed Yorkshire Terrier . From the sixteenth day of its birth it is visibly weak, continuously whines and shrinks in some corner. Can Bovine colostrum powder be given to him with powdered milk?Is colostrum harmful for him?

Has the mother stopped feeding him? If so, when? What about the rest of the litter?

Has he seen a vet?

Please contact your vet for advice - if the puppy isn't thriving, he could be ill and go downhill very quickly.

Have you seen a vet with your puppy? Has your puppy been checked for a cleft palate?
Do you have a large litter, is mum making enough milk for the litter? (your litter can all start on solid food now):D

Often a cleft palate can cause loss of weight and an un thrifty puppy. If the puppy was mine I would try offering a little finely minced raw meat mashed with a little warm water to make it a bit slippery. Puppies can start on raw foods from 2.5 weeks of age without any problems. A little soft raw food can be swallowed a lot easier than a liquid, and digestion is quiet easy without any upset tummies.

Most importantly I would seek a visit to see my vet ASAP.
