i've just returned from a terrific weekend watching top dogs , showing and racing, was at cumbrian championships on sat , pride of the peaks on sun, seen lots of really good looking dogs an some not so good looking , but to top my weekend off , was slipping china for , john humphries at p o p , not only did she win , but she absolutly murdered a top class feild , on 3 legs , having sustained a outside tendon injury to her toe in the first race, not only has she got speed to burn , but she's as brave as a lion too, really , what chance did the others have , had she not suffered her injury , as she still won , over an extended course too,

well done john , i think little china deserves a good rest now , having done you proud all year

nobody knows there dogs better than the owners, yes probably, as it's the last race for the year , not a serious injury , but a pain in the ass one, anyway , was'nt my decision it was john's, she'd have been running on adrenalin anyway, thats just what dogs are like , hey if she'd been in lots of pain , the bitch would have pulled up , but she did'nt.

I was'nt questioning the dogs breeding just asking if you would have run one of your own g/hounds whilst it was carrying a tendon injury, I myself have had many a good dogs racing life cut short through tendon injuries, I was always told you can run them a little short of fitness but never injured.

to answer your question to me, NO, i would'nt have run any of mine, but i'm ultra careful, dont run dogs till 14months
