I don't like this time of year, just don't get out with my two as much as I'd like when it's cold and wet.

Roll on summer when the dogs can wander out into the garden and we can go out for long walks without having to get kitted up for the antartic.

True very true.

Meaty bones are so much worse though.

I didn't realise just how hard work it would be owning two dogs in the winter time.

When I let them out into the garden several times each day to do their business Alf trots back in doors with not a scrap of dirt on his paws where as Annie seems to have 2 ton of earth on each foot each time she goes out. Whippets seem extemely adapt at collecting as much muck on their feet in the shortest time.Her feet are like muck magnets! So it's a quick wipe down in the kitchen before she's allowed access to the rest of the house. The times I'v thought her feet didn't look too bad (ever optimistic) only to find muddy paw prints through the hall, up the stairs and all over the freshly changed duvet. I'v now go to the point of covering the duvet cover with an old sheet to save it from going in the wash every day.

Hard work but I love her to bits. :wub:
