I have a small whippet bitch she is now about 10 months old. She stands about 14inch at the shoulder but is a bit to skinny. The other whippets i have had in the past have been a lot bigger and muscler. It was my choice this time to get the smallest i could so i found one in cheltenham [i live in stoke} and she was worth the travel.

I have enquired on here for imformation on racing her around the staffordshire area.

She chases rabbits, well anything that moves, but she is a bit timid around other dogs so i thought if i took her to race meeting around other dogs and maybe train her this may harden her up.

So the moral of my story is, should i give her any vitimans to build her muscles up.

I do give her dog vitimans but is there any special kind.

Thanks Hadrian

I don't know what you feed her. But I've found that feeding Australian Formula greyhound food seems to make my dogs leaner and more muscley. However the size of the muscle seems to depend on the breeding of the dog. Well in my opinion and taking into account my own dogs physiques.

If you are feeding her a complete diet, then there shouldn't be any need to add vit's in my opinion .........I agree with Beejay that the build of your Whippet depend's alot on it's breeding ........My fastest dog look's like he has very little muscle, but his 2 sister's are exactly the same ...........My slowest racer look's like she's a body builder :- " ......the racing should help her to become braver :luck:
