After browsing through Gumtree (Edinburgh) I found these two ads. The first one is someone making a valid point about people advertising wanting "FREE" animals usually cats and dogs. I must say many a time I have read postings about people wanting so called Free animals. I have thought to myself if someone is saying "wanted cat/dog must be free" how are they going to pay for the vet bills/food etc if they can't even contribute a donation for the animal. Different if the animal was advertised for free to good home in the first place.
The 2nd advert is someone highlighting the fact there are so many puppy farmers taking advantage of sights like Gumtree to lure innocent members of the public into buying dogs from them.
I must say there are some strange people on the pet section of Gumtree at times. You can just tell by reading their adverts you wouldn't want to sell/give them a puppy/kitten never mind a hamster
why is it that most of the people that want a dog or a puppy want it for free! its not even as if they want a cross it always seems to be dogs like staffies or labs or just any kind of pure breed nothing comes free in this world. and then they all say they are on benifits and stuff well im a single mum that has jst finished college so isnt working and im no benifits yet i can manage to to pay for a dog, it just gets right on my nerves do what normal people do SAVE for things that you want
you make me sick! the guy i was talking about is'nt rehome dogs out the kindest of his heart, he is making money. if you were at all concerned about the welfare of animals you would be against puppy farming and dealing. if this guy was concerned about the dogs he would home check new owners. he is buying litters all the time from god only knows where and selling them at a profit, not bothering where they end up. people on here are pet owners and lovers and most dont want to be a part of any illegal trading. i welcome anyone that points these things out so that innocent people are not contributing to puppy farming. you shouldnt be working with animals with an attitude like that!
